MandelaArt To Distribute Limited Edition Nelson Mandela Signed Artwork in North America

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS PRESS RELEASE)-- Core Velocity, Inc. announced today that it has acquired the exclusive rights to the North American distribution of Nelson Mandela signed Limited Edition artwork. The Artwork includes lithographs and prints of the 32 countries that participated in the 2010 FIFA World Cup Soccer in South Africa. The Artwork is entitled "Africa Salutes You" and represents "20 years of 1 man's freedom (Nelson Mandela) under the African sun".

With the support of Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela (Madiba) and the artworks created by renowned South African artist Athol Moult, this project encompassed a series of paintings entitled "Africa Salutes You" that has become a beacon of hope for the people of Mvezo. The artwork tells a story of celebration, inspired by the 2010 FIFA World Cup Soccer and the children of Mvezo. The "Africa Salutes You" initiative will help fund development projects in Mvezo Komkhulu, Mvezo Traditional Council, Eastern Cape Province, South Africa, the location of the birthplace and chiefdom of Nelson Mandela's family.

Limited edition prints of the hand signed original signature of Nelson Mandela are now available in North America as collector investment art pieces for not only those that can afford really expensive art, but some prints (numbered bookplates) are priced to be affordable to the general public. The limited edition nature of the prints means only 210 of each country of the large Limited Edition Canvas prints and 2010 of each country of the Limited Edition prints have been made. Numbered bookplate prints are part of the collection (not limited) but are available.

"Recent events have created a buzz around these prints and avid collectors are showing great interest in capturing a piece of history.", said MandelaArt CEO, Pamela Kaplan. "Besides the collector value they represent, the artwork is modern and very appealing. The prints have place for those who not only like art but to those that supported and followed their and other countries of interest during the recent 2010 FIFA World Cup soccer competition held in South Africa. This unique historical event is captured in the 'Africa Salutes You' collection and with Nelson Mandela's endorsement (and signature), these pieces will retain their value."

You can see the full collection of artwork at the MandelaArt website or by visiting Mandela.us.

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to own a piece of history, and MandelaArt is proud to be a supporter of this project. "Over the course of 2011, MandelaArt will be promoting the Artwork in Galleries, Art Museums, Fund Raising Events, and through various retail distribution avenues, including corporations and educational facilities" said MandelaArt CEO. "We encourage galleries and art museums to contact us directly if they would like to hold an event to show or even purchase some artwork. We will also be looking to large corporations, such as Google, as an example, that have also recently supported the Nelson Mandela Foundation (1), to purchase artwork for their own walls and bring a piece of Africa to North America"

Chief Nkosi Mandela, Nelson Mandela's grandson, will be traveling to the USA for a MandelaArt fund-raising roadshow event later this year. Please contact us for more information to participate in what will also be a significant historic event. Chief Mandela has previously travelled abroad to non-USA regions to promote this project and those events were very successfull. The USA roadshow will bring not only significant visibility to this upliftment project but with celebraties invited to participate it will make these events fun and ones to remember forever, while helping to support a much needed program.
